It looks more like Mahonia japonica or one of the named cultivars. Note the flowering stalks are long/straight. While Mahonia aquifolium flowers are in clusters...hence berries give rise to common name Oregon grape.
Not easy to id accurately ..it involves counting the number of leaflets/time of flowering etc.
