Honeysuckle + yellowing leaves + spots . What's happening here? Advice appreciated

Hello All! I moved into a rented house last winter with an established old climber in a bricked up very large patio container. It tuns out (I think) to be a Japanese honeysuckle, and it was quiet yellowed and spotted on the leaves. I read that they need quit a bit of water so have watered it very well over the past few months. Foliage greatly improved. However past months have sadly seen the problem return for some reason. It does have some promising buds forming (pictures below) but the leaves certainly look a bit dodgy in places! would like to help this plant out if possible as it is the only thing brightening up quite a shady and bare part of the patio. (I should mention that it is very hard for me to access the soil around the plant directly as a thick old ivy is growing around the brickwork). the plant gets sun in the morning and is shaded by 11am. Thanks in advance!
