Gala Apple Tree - Diseased or scorched?

Hello! I was wondering if any of you know whether this gala apple tree has a disease or if it is just windburn (as per the info from the garden shop assistant yesterday). It will be the first fruit tree in our garden and I’d rather start with a healthy one! Really appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thank you.0
