Pot bound
Hi Gardeners.
I'm just giving my first few steps into gardening and realised I might have made one of those rookie mistakes. I bought some perennials about 3 weeks ago and while I can see some growth on some plants, quite a few aren't responding. Bare in mind we're talking 9cm pots. I'm wondering if the reason for the misfortune is the fact that I haven't teased the root balls before planting.
I only realised that could have been an issue when I moved some of them today and the root ball seems almost intact.
Now my question is, would it be too much stress for the poor little things to dig them out AGAIN and tease the roots out?
I feel so silly but I would hate to see them perish because of such a silly mistake
Thank you.
