Any hints and tips for irrigation system? I’m overhauling mine ( again!)

I’ve got a hose lock irrigation system that runs round my garden. It’s due another revamp as I always find the drippers  get blocked or end up in the wrong place after a year or two.
I’m torn between re-doing it by just using drippers in the main 13mm line... and hope they end up in the right place, or to tee off at regular intervals and use the small tubes For drippers in a local area. I find both approaches prone to blocking, but the small tubes are worse.
What have your experiences been?

I only have experience of using an irrigation system for pots and baskets, but for me a 13mm main line with small tubes to multiple drips works well.  I haven't had many problems with drippers blocking but they are easy enough to replace if they do.  Small tubes are also easier to run to precise locations than trying to weave a 13mm pipe to do the same thing.

I bought this 2 years ago

No problems whatsoever. It gently drips water from the entire length.
I ran it up and down so it covers the entire border and I'm very pleased with it.
Will probably buy another for the other side of the garden.
We've only had one showery day in the last 2 months here

Mine does all the containers and baskets. I was originally from B&Q bits and pieces and I've bought more drippers etc from ebay over the years (unbranded). The drippers get clogged up with limescale from time to time so I take off the worst ones each spring and put them in a cup of kettle descaler (or vinegar) for a day or so when I get the timer out of storage after the last frosts. That's a job on the list for this weekend.
