Buxus problem

I noticed something is eating my 20yrs old buxus,  it is full of spider webs and brown dry patches and there are some small greenish pellets all around the area 1-2mm long see pict below, I tried to spray SMC spider mite but no joy, the webs and brown patches are still spreading, any idea what it could be?

Get rid of them...no escape from the caterpillars in the South East. If you look really closely I bet you'll find some actively munching away.  https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=760

There's a product called Xentari that might work... but it might be an idea to reassess your box planting because the problem isn't going to go away
