    I gave it a trial run just now and it is perfect,right height,right size,right place.
    I agree the original idea was  too chunky,but I like ideas that evolve to suit!

    Depending on the material used, the price doesn't seem excessive.  About a day's work, so that element alone is £150 to £200.  £120 for quality material isn't particularly high.

    Looks good.  I would suggest a quick dose of teak oil before it gets dirty or wet.  It will last longer.
