Leaf curl spreading

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with this problem.... Last year my 4 bay trees had a disease where the leaves curled up and looked swollen. I followed some advice where I trimmed off the worst effected and thoroughly sprayed washing up liquid & water. Unfortunately it's come back the last couple of weeks but is now also on some other shrubs and plants all of different varieties. It's incredibly disappointing as I'm new to gardening and trying my absolute best. The bays had lots of new growth this year and generally the garden is very happy. I've attached some pics all of different shrubs at the front and back. Again any help is appreciated.

    Hello @GreenFeist and welcome  :)
Sorry your post seems to have slipped through the net, can you recall the name of the disease ?
It's possible that it's different things affecting different shrubs (all part of the joy of gardening l'm afraid).
Do you know the names of the other shrubs, if not, can you post a photo of each to give us more idea of what they are ?

It's probably Bay Sucker causing the leaf curl.
My Bay bushes get it every year - I just use the unaffected leaves.
It doesn't look great, but probably wont do much harm to your Bay.
The last photo shows leaves that have either caught a late frost or had a touch of sunburn- noting to worry about

Welcome to the forum @GreenFeist 😊

I agree with @Pete.8 ... my bay gets it too ... it’s part of nature and without little bugs there’d be no food for the baby bluetits so I tolerate a bit of imperfection for their sake.

A couple of weeks ago my bay tree had three newly fledged bluetits helping themselves to the bugs on its leaves right outside my window.

Feed the birds all year round so they get used to feeding in your garden and they’ll get rid of the bugs for you. 😊
