Honey Suckle with leaves going brown and shrivelled
We have a very old honeysuckle bush which was badly overgrown. Earlier this spring I pruned it hard. New shoots started growing and green leaves developed. However, now many leaves have gone brown and shrivelled. I have noted that on any branch the leaves closest to the core of the plant go brown first and there are often green leaves near the tips still. It is almost as if something malevolent is slowly spreading out along the branches from the centre outwards.
I have given the bush a feed of Fish, Blood & Bone also I have mulched with farmyard manure and I have watered it. Finally, I have tried to remove the dead leaves and dispose of them in case they have some infestation.
Is there anything else that I can do to resuscitate our old honeysuckle?
