What’s going on with our Lupin

Hi everyone we have several Lupins in the garden but never seen this happen before, it is only one plant that is doing it. Has anyone seen it before?

Not very common but not especially rare either, it's called "fasciation". You might like to add your post to this discussion:

It'll look spectacular if all those little buds develop into flowers.
