Calathea orbifolia leavings drooping

I have had this calathea for almost 6 months now. It was not smooth sailing for a very long time, but it is doing much better now. Recently, it grew 6 new leaves and there are 2 more growing out!
My home now is usually between 23-27°C, humidity around 30%, I water every few days (soil wet in between waterings, but plant does not sit in water), and mist the leaves everyday or every other day.
I have tried to figure out why the leaves point downward / curl inward / drooping, rather than bring more upright. Appreciate any suggestions and tips 😁

I've not had much success with Calatheas, but have a look at the care info. here https://hortology.co.uk/products/calathea-orbifolia-houseplants and see if it helps. In particular it says temperature 18-23 deg.C and damp not wet between waterings, so you could start with those and see if it helps.

  • Thanks Jenny, maybe the room temperature is an issue and i will try to move it to a cooler section of the flat ☺️
I meant to say the soil is lightly damp in between waterings, not wet.
  • Hi Jocelynng00

Did you manage to perk up your Calathea leaves?

    Kind regards

Old thread, but 30% humidity is too low.
