This is for a friend - not my photo. The larger leaves belong to a Hemerocallis. I thought some kind of Allium, but apparently there's no perceptible onion smell. Any pointers?

Yes, I think probably Allium roseum - the uniflorum is maybe too pink, and neapolitanum too white. I'll send him all the suggestions and tell him to sniff a bit harder, I think! Thanks.

The leaves definitely have a hint of onion when crushed. Can become a pita if you let the seeds drop. Unfortunately, the seeds look nice so it's tempting to leave them😕
