Campanula leaf curl - please help!

Hi all,

We've recently made raised beds and filled it with a "raised bed" mix which was about 70% topsoil 30% organic compost. I filled the bed with plants on Friday and everything seems to be doing well apart from the Campanula I bought.

It's been wilting slightly during the day although it perks up again when watered in the evening but today I've checked on it and the leaves have started to turn crispy and curled. It's against a south facing fence and gets the sun until about 6pm at the moment. We haven't had particularly hot weather here in the Midlands and no frosts overnight either.

I planted two and the other one is faring better although a couple of the leaves have died back.

Is it just transplant shock or too much heat?

Thanks for any help!

What type of Campanula is that?
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

It's a Loddon Anna, a tall variety that loves the sun apparently!

There's plenty of good growth on there so it's probably just struggling to take up enough water. It'll settle when its roots have grown out into the soil. Keep up the regular watering, and if the wilted bits don't recover you can nip them off.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

That's good to know, thank you!
