Hi, does anyone know what type of rose this is?

Wondering when I can prune as it's getting very tall and unruly! It's currently growing up against some trellis.

I think you have 'The Albrighton Rambler' there... allow it to flower and prune after the main flush is over... probably late June/early July, something like that... it should rebloom on new growth...

I think 'A Shropshire Lad'. In any case, the best time to cut it back a bit is the same, as Marlorena said.
  • Oh great! Thanks both! Glad to hear they are both ok to prune soon. It's getting so tall.

Any tips on pruning would be welcome - I'm a novice! 🤣
  • Hi, I wonder if you guys could advise me on how much I should be watering these roses? Online has conflicting information!

In the UK (London), which has been very dry and warm for the last few weeks.

    Thanks in advance 😊
