What's happening to our apple tree

bazabaza Posts: 670
Planted an apple tree about 2 months ago which we grew from seed.  Everything was growing great but we've noticed the leaves curling at the top and not looking too healthy.  Is it dieing or will it be ok

Thanks
Baz

Most likely aphids - look inside a curled-up leaf.

It’s very close to the fence - don’t forget it will be a large tree one day. If you want to train it against the fence as a fan or espalier you will also need a bit more room behind for air flow. I would also clear the grass from around the base of the tree so that it has less competition for water.
