Growing henbane.

Well. Here is one of my henbane. I was wondering what type of care it needs this time of year. I find it very hard to seed. Any tips or advice?

It needs a much bigger pot and a friend (preferably of the same plant) and bees (sometimes birds as well!) and time.

I am excited to see your mandrake if you have one? Personally I prefer the Nine Herbs

Henbane grew wild in one of my previous gardens ... it just appeared there one year ... a little clump of it. After that it popped up every year. Attractive little thing.

I haven’t grown mandrake yet but it’s definetly something that I am planning for the future.
    will my plant survive indoors?

All natural plants are better outdoors, I see Dove commented as much on your Belladonna. Yours may survive but that is not really living. Outside is where the birds and the bees live and all the things a natural plant needs to grow.

    The Nine Herbs are:
    Mugwort
    Betony
    Lamb's cress
    Plantain
    Mayweed
    Nettle
    Crab apple
    Thyme
    Fennel
and the invocation can be found in the Lacnunga, check it out.

Black Henbane is an annual and I know of no method of propagating by cuttings.  It is customarily grown from seed by commercial growers. Yours has flowers, if they have been pollinated the plant will set seed.

So taking a cutting would be pointless?

I have just looked on google and I got a site that says you can grow henbane from cuttings. If this is the case I will be very happy. I have just cut a small stem off. About 8-10cms long and placed it in shallow water. I will keep you updated on its progress because I have never taken henbane cuttings and it is quite new to me.
