please help my poor tomato plant - pic attached

I planted one of my tomato plants that I have been carefully nurturing from seed into the floor of the greenhouse a couple of days ago. He's now looking so sad! The ones I put into larger pots are much happier. I did add manure to this soil and lots of water (the ground was so parched) - the ones i repotted i just added compost.

Any ideas of whats gone wrong? Seems a bit more than transplant shock - as it was initially a bit sad when planted, then later perked up a bit but now gone very sad indeed!

Any advice on what I can do to cheer him up would be very gratefully received!

I think that'll be fine. It's very mature - has it been in a heated environment before going in the greenhouse?
Greenhouses can get very hot through the day [especially with the very high temps some places have had] and then get very cold at night. Toms need double figs night time temps to thrive  :)
Give it a few days, and it should be ok. It has a lot of growth to support there  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Hi @fairygirl37
Yes its been living in the greenhouse for a few weeks. I've been adding lots of additions to moderate the temps in there - fan/heater, vents, misting system and shade netting. Great to hear he might just need more time to settle - this is our first year growing veg (well, anything actually!)

Well, the top looks perky anyway.  I'm with @Fairygirl - Tom looks a bit hot and flustered!!  PS  Don't mist it as they normally like their heads dry.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
