Palm tree

We have a palm tree in the garden and it has started sprouting what look like seeds from the top. It didnt do this last year. Am i ok to just chop these off?

    It’s going to flower 😊 

    Some folk don’t like them and cut the flower stem off at its base ... I happen to think they look rather glorious if slightly eccentric (but I like eccentricity) so I would leave it on and remove later.  It’s up to you. 😊

    Thanks for the advice. I am not sure what to do now. What do the flowers look like? I may leave it for now..

    Scruffy and fluffy - bit like Boris when he went outside to clap the Thursday after he got out of hostipool :)
