‘Species Plant’ - what does it mean?

I’ve heard this phrase a few times, most recently on GW. When I google it it tells me about biological classification. Doesn’t sound right given the context. TIA 🙂

    It means a kind of plant that lives in the wild, as opposed to a man-made hybrid.

    I think it means that it's a plant that occurs naturally, as opposed to a variety that has been produced by selective breeding.

    species plants are considered a little bit trickier to grow since they come from the Wild and hybrid plants will be used to growing in different conditions and gets more diversity for different factors from both parents making them generally a bit more tolerant to grow in different conditions.
