    My neighbour is a really nice guy but I rarely see him!  He has gardeners so we don’t tend to chat over the fence as we would if he was out there a lot, I don’t have his mobile number and I can’t currently go and ask in person really!

     Looks like August is the best time for cuttings, so I’ll hope I bump into him between now and then, although not literally!

    I’d pop a friendly note through the letterbox. It’s what I do with my neighbours if I don’t see them and need to speak to them ... warning them
    that we're having some tree work done or similar.
