Novice Gardener - Lupin anxiety.

Hi All.

I’ve trawled this forum for days trying to work out what I’ve done wrong but it seems there are a few possibilities and while I don’t wish to duplicate or bore anyone I thought hey ho let’s give it a go.

I planted two Lupins over a week ago in to raised beds. They went into good quality soil with some added compost turned over etc

while they continue to grow (new flowers appearing) my problem is this:

Leaves curling over.
Some leaves turning purple underneath.
some leaves in the centre turning yellow and dying.

Photos attached and help appreciated.

They're big plants, and they'll just be struggling to get enough moisture for all that top growth  :)
Lots of other plants round them for competition too. I wouldn't worry too much - a really good drink in at the base, every couple of days. They'll soon perk up. You can remove any dying foliage - it'll soon grow new stuff  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
