Vegetable leaves

I have been growing dwarf beans from seed and they have been inside on my warm kitchen window as I don’t have a greenhouse. I noticed brown blotches on the edges of the leaves. Is this anything to worry about? Also do I need to harden them off before I plant them outside?

Also I have been growing first early Rocket potatoes in pots outside and they have been covered in fleece at night. They also have markings on the leaves.Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received as never had any success with potatoes.

Many thanks

  • Thanks for your advice,I’ll harden off my beans this week. We’re in Lincolnshire. Can I just ask can I  just use normal plant food or do I need something specific for potatoes?

Thanks for the nod @philippa smith2 but although my brother grows tonnes and tonnes of potatoes I have no idea what fertiliser he uses other than that it will be specified by an agronomist after a scientific computer analysis of the soil in each of the fields at any given time.
When I grow them in the veg patch I use well rotted manure in the trench and feed around the plants with FB&B when the leaves first appear. That’s all I give them.
