A headache for somebody!

This was an enormous holm oak, part of which came down in Storm Ciara. On the bank of a small stream in a villagers garden near us in a Conservation Area so they had to apply for planning permission to have the rest of it removed. We've been watching progress on our daily walk - it has taken three Council tree surgeons eight days to fell the rest and remove the debris. They did a good job, very professional. We are a bit surprised they didn't take down the leaning pine tree at the same time - which was even taller!
