Can anyone confirm...

that this is not horsetail? It’s coming from my neighbour, under the fence.

    Asparagus. There is a weed that has a similar shoot(black briony) but it is not horsetail.  I think if you leave it , it will have ferny fronds. If you snap it off, it should smell asparagussy.

    I agree ... first bet is asparagus. 

    Slight possibility it could he black briony

    It is definitely not Horsetail. 100% certain.

    Butter and black pepper, maybe a drop of lemon juice.
