Hello everyone I have asked friends but no one knows. Please could you tell me what the tall plant is (centre photo - frondy looking) - I have 3 in the garden, they are getting taller and taller but no sign of a flower Thanks , Alex
I recognized it immediately. I had a a few pop up in my garden a couple of years ago. At first I thought love-in-a-mist but then it started getting really tall and strong like yours and I thought maybe a ninja cosmos.. It kept looking as if it was about to bloom, but just more ferny leaves came. In the end when the got to about 4ft I dug them out No idea what they are though
So I hope you get a useful answer as I'd be interested to know too

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Thank you for the information, Pete 8 Maybe someone will know - I will give them a few days more then remove them as they are not in the right place for really tall plants.
They could be Sneeze weed, Eupatorium Capillifolium. If you leave them in long enough for the small flowers to form, then seedheads forming, you may end up with a whole lot in your garden next year.
