Please help my pinapple plant

right, ive been given a pinapple and its not going so well. it had a small pinapple growing on top but that turned yellow and fell off. after that, the leves started to die. ive got 2 leves that are still green but are still dying. i looked at the roots and they are brown but not very squishy. it sits in the window sill on the top floor with full sun light and ive started pouring some pour and grow on it
