Dividing Angelica

I've tried to grow different types of Angelica from seed and have failed miserably each time. I have a plant which was a freebie seedling that has grown into a monster and would love to grow more. Has anyone had success taking divisions from the rootball ? or any amazing tips for getting the seed to germinate

    I sow the seed in Autumn and leave in a cold g/h, they germinate fine in the spring.

    @punkdoc thanks so really they want sowing and forgetting about for the winter, would a cold frame be suitable also
