This was something i planted last year that i thought dead off, but appears to made a second coming, is this purple chard or something else or may even be a weed ?

Does that mean i should be picking the purple buds(broccoli like) sections off the plant and eating them? or the yellow buds\flower heads that will mature into broccoli ?
