    Welcome to the Forum.
It's not the best time to move big shrubs.
You could cut it back, A LOT and give it lots of water.

The shrub was going to be chucked so i kindly took it on. I have fed it sugar water, although im not sure if thats the best thing. Do you think it needs a bigger pot and rooting powder?
    Many thanks 😁

How big is it? Can't tell from photo, and how much root did you get with it?
Rooting powder is useless ,and I've no idea what " sugar water is ",  :)

Plant it in the ground if possible, otherwise a big container. I can't see what it's in at the moment though. And what @Hostafan1 said - plenty of water, and cut it back hard so that it isn't trying to support too much top growth. It'll be under a lot of stress with the roots probably being damaged in the move (it's hard not to) and with all those flowers on it, it might put all its energy into trying to make seeds.
It doesn't need feeding until it's settled in and started to grow new leaves, and definitely not with sugar - that won't help the plant and might encourage ants, wasps or aphids. No rooting powder either - that's for taking cuttings. I hope you can save it.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Given the diameter of the pot, I'd say you've not got nearly enough root to sustain what's above.
If you cut it to about the height of the blue fence , it might survive, but no chance at the size it is now IMHO.

This shrub came in two parts, the other half of it is planted in my front garden. I had to squeeze in the roots as i only had one pot left to use.

Thanks guys for your great suggestions. I will buy a bigger pot and cutting it back a little.😁🤞🤞

You'll need to cut it right back if it's going to have any chance at all.
Copious watering. No food is necessary just now either, unless it's something like B,F&Bone, and even then, it's really just water that's required.
I agree with @Hostafan1 - that's not an ideal sort of container, as the root system will be very small.
It looks like one of the red berberis varieties, but hard to tell.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

IMHO there's no point in "cutting it back a little" Its only chance of survival is to cut it back a lot.
