French Lavender resurrection

Hii have French lavender and the woody bit has broken ( see first photo)
it’s blooming really well each year so don’t want to ruin it. How can I fix it? What’s best way to look after it? Ie pruning, winter etc? Any advice much appreciated Thanks 0
