Gooseberry bushes

Hi, I have 3 gooseberry bushes  that have fruited well for 6 years but this year 2 of the bushes have immature fruits that are turning brown and have a thick crusty coating on them which cannot be rubbed off.  In other words the fruits are turning rotten.  One bush is unaffected and the two have bad fruits completely covering the bush.  I don't think it is powdery mildew.  Does anyone know what this is please and will I have to replace the bushes?  Many thanks

It's very similar but slightly paler than the photo. Thank you for answering my post. I dont want it to spread so maybe I will get rid of the bushes as they are in a plot with other soft fruit.
