Clematis, weed or other???

I'm hoping someone knowledgeable can identify this random plant I saved from. My parents border thinking it was a clematis. 
Now I'm not so sure. 
It's not flowered or budded yet and it doesnt look like my niobe or etoile Violet but an altogether more strapping plant. 
I'm hoping we aren't nurturing a weed!
Any suggestions?

    Aaaah! Thanks @Fairygirl OK so that's why it looked different to all my clematis.
    The neighbours grow one... A yellow one, so perhaps theirs has seeded.

    It's possibly just rooted somewhere and come through into your parents' garden  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
