    Everything is welcome here.  The mice are good at accessing the food too @Treeface , and it's always entertaining:)
    I hope you can find a solution @flowerpower15. It's nice when all the birds get a share of the goodies. Some trial and error usually works out well in the end :)
    You could also do a similar thing [to my cages] with a ground feeder too. I know you can buy an RSPB one, but I doubt the blackies and thrushes can access it.
    I have a ground tray I made, which is raised off the ground, and I also put bits and pieces in among shrubs. The big birds make a beeline for the obvious tray, including the rooks sometimes, and the blackies etc  find all the stuff in the borders. I mostly do that in winter and early spring when they need help, especially when we have a lot of snow, ice and frost.
    Lovely watching them all.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
