Rose buds not fully opening

I have a beautiful climbing rose of great sentimental value. This spring it is full of buds, having been pruned back in the autumn. But the three buds that are now demonstrating bright red petals, haven't fully opened, and haven't changed in nearly a week. I googled, but the results implied that this happens during cool damp Springtimes. But of course we've had a warm and dry spring.

I'm desperate to save this rose as it was planted in my husband's memory. It's the first thing my daughters go to look at when they visit, and this time of year the eldest, who planted it, waits impatiently for me to send photos of it blooming. So your help and advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

Could be the cold snap we had after that warm spell, so they got going but then put on the brakes. Bit of warm weather forecasted which might see them open.
