HELP. Cherry Laurels new shoots shrivelling and turning brown

PetearissPeteariss Posts: 2
Hi. I’d be grateful for any advice. Planted a dozen cherry laurels in March 2019. All were doing really well until a couple of days ago when the new shoots seem to have shrivelled and turned brown. The older leaves are fine. The plants were fed about a month ago with chicken manure and they are located in Birmingham. Many thanks in anticipation x

We've just had a cold snap with chilly wind, so it's most likely damaged the fresh growth that grew in the warm spell before that. Cut off the damaged bits when the cold windy weather passes and new shoots will grow making it more bushy.

Probably frost damage but it will recover on its own.

Yes - as the others have said - weather.
    It'll be fine.  :)

I agree ... it’s the chilly snap. You’re not the only one with this query in the last few days ...there’s a lot of it about. Don’t worry they’ll recover and nipping our the tips will promote thicker growth so
    there's a silver lining.
