    They are such beautiful animals.

But they have such unpleasant habits, far worse than those of cats.   :/

I'm always finding eggs.  I think it's a fox that keeps pooing right in the middle of my carex plants it drives me mad.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Hi, I found a buried chicken 's egg in a pot in the spring, and another this morning, dug out of a bed I only created 2 weeks ago. Today's was a shop bought egg, it has a processing stamp on it, so deffo not a wild bird's egg, although we are close to Tooting Common and its large ponds. What I don't understand is where foxes get whole fresh eggs from?? We are in SW London zone 4. Anyone?

Sometimes deliveries to restaurants are left outside the kitchen doors by early deliveries?

Also domestic milk deliveries often happen in the wee small hours and milkmen deliver eggs too.

They're partial to the containers of strawberries from the local Co op round here   :)
The delivery timings often tie in with their habits.

And of course, eggs that are past their Sell by dates will go into refuse bins and get sent to tips

The bargains my daughter often brings home is quite sad @Dovefromabove. A lot gets sent to charities, but that's dependent on a lot of other factors. It's a sore point with us   :/

This discussion has blown my mind!

I had no idea that people find whole eggs in their gardens and it’s the work of foxes!

If I saw this in a newspaper I’d be checking to see that it was April 1st.
