    @GemmaJF I didn't realise these petrol tools needed a good cleaning out before storage.  There must be loads of neglected, borked tools.

    Probably are, but as a qualified vehicle tech, I find little engines like the Intek 206 fun.

    It is my own fault, should have run the carb dry last time I used it.

    I didn't and the fuel smelt like vomit in the float bowl and it had left a bit of varnish. It's going back to regular use, so carb strip (it's currently soaking) and service is just a fun thing for me to do.

    Often wonder though how many petrol tools sit in sheds because of simple blocked jet etc. I know the neighbour's tools are often short lived.

    @GemmaJF I know someone who seems to delight in picking these up on the cheap, cleaning them out, or fitting a new carb.  I guess for some that is what floats their boat!
