I don't get woodpigeons very often because of the dog, but I did once have to deal with the body of one that had crashed into my back window, very sad.
I also get a massive influx every year when the berries on my two trees (that I now know are mature hollies!) ripen. You can literally barely see the branches for dozens of woodpidgeons having a feast, and its hilarious watching them trying to get to the berries on branches that are too thin to support their weight!
