Softwood garden furniture restoring

Hi. I have been badly let down by a furniture supplier where they have refused to resolve badly weathering softwood furniture after one season. It has treated with preserve in Sept but is already looking over 10 years old, is very grey and grubby looking. I have tried to find a suitable restorer specifically for softwood (they mainly refer to hardwood).

Do you have any solutions for a softwood restorer or any ideas how to bring it back.

for confirmation this is only a year old and was treated with softwood preserver (not oil). I don’t believe it was pressure treated initially.

Thanks

Sadolin would be an obvious starting point.

How old is the furniture? I guess the retailer’s guarantee on a softwood product would only be 12 months so if you’re outside this time frame you’re relying on goodwill.

    Long story....shortish version!

Original purchase March 2018. Same thing happened with this first lot and they dealt with it brilliantly, and admitted on more than one occasion that it looked dreadful. It was replaced in May 2019 when exactly the same happened again. I have been trying since Jan to have them replaced or refunded. Prefer to replace as I like it, but they have now refused to do either or anything. Short of legal action I’m stuck, and I really don’t want to do that. Very poor service desperate the brilliant last year.

Just checked your suggestion out and it’s not quite what I was looking for as I need to restore the wood first and I’m trying find a product suitable for that first. Thanks anyway.....
