Thanks Hostafan1. They must have self seeded from my sowing of wild flowers last year. I need to get some lilac/purple ones for next year.

Yes, that's the 'alba' white form. They survive as short-lived perennials in my garden and usually last for about 2-3 years.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
