What is this shrub?

Have been given this plant and no idea what it is and how to look after it. Would appreciate your help

    I looks like Nadina Domestica. They prefer a sunny position and probably best in the ground.

    I've looked and they appear to be quite poisonous (cyanide I believe 😳) is it safe to keep,? Don't want birds eating the berries and any other issues that could arise so maybe not worth taking the risk???

    I have nandinas in my garden, as does one of my neighbours. We have never seen birds eating the berries even in the coldest weather when pyracanthas and the like have been stripped bare.
    However, if it would worry you even slightly, it might not be worth keeping.  They are very striking shrubs.
