Hosta division

Hi, is it too late to split well established hostas? I'm in Norfolk. :-)

You can do it now ... it’ll set them back a bit and you’ll need to prepare a really good spot, keep a really good eye on them and ensure they get loads of water. I don’t think they’ll look like a settled clump this season ... the shape will be wrong ... I wouldn’t do it at this time of year unless there’s a really good reason.
    Don’t know if @Hostafan1 agrees with me ...? 😊

I've known folk dig them up in the height of summer to split a bit off.
Not ideal, but doable, so yes, totally agree with @Dovefromabove

Thanks very much for the advice - have been out and now have 14 decent sized hostas potted up. The daddy hosta was getting swamped by other plants. Now....wear to put them?!
