Decking Rail HELP!

Hello,

I have just completed some decking in my carden and im looking at different styleys of rail and found the style i like.

Would anyone know of any how to guides in completing this? I have attache an image of what im looking to achieve.

    Hi @bobssy wow that's a fairly intricate piece of rope work! You should be able to dissect the design from that picture, but be warned - if that fence is just a metre high, than there's gotta be best part of 20 metres of rope in just the middle bit of that design (from the post to the edge of the photo, maybe 2-2½ metres?), plus 2 more lengths that this attaches to that are wrapped around the upper and lower horizontals. Decent manila rope at 40mm dia. is about eight spuds a metre, or about £1200 per 200m coil! You could use thinner diameters but I think you'd start to lose the effect

    How about going for a more simple design and drilling holes in the top and bottom rails to thread the rope through rather than have a lot of the fancy knot work?
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
