Any genius’ out there?

Hey!

I am wanting to fence around my allotment but have found this is a ridiculously expensive process! Does anyone have any genius ideas of how to do this whilst keeping the cost down?

What? You can’t do it from just imagination?  :open_mouth:  ;)
I’ll post some photos this afternoon when I pop to the allotment!

Are you allowed to do so, we are not at our allotments?  What do you need to keep out?  We have Muntjac deer, and they can jump over 1.2 metres.  Foxes will dug under anything not sunk into the ground.  Would it not be better to net individual crops/beds, depending on what you are planting in them?

A fence won't necessarily keep the critters out, but this is what we see some plotholders use to fence individual raised beds.  We haven't seen it used to fence a whole plot.  I assume it's quite cheap to buy.

We need to know the purpose of the fence ... do you want to keep someone out ... rabbits, vegetable pirates, other people’s dogs? Or do you want to keep someone in ... your own children, your own dogs?
