Increased Sparrow Sightings

Just wondering if there is an increase of sightings of any particular bird in the UK since reduced airline activity. In Canada-BC specifically-the sparrows are making a huge comeback. They are coming in droves-people are complaining that their feeders are being mobbed. Their population has been far less for the past 20 years. ...and no, it's not because more people are home to notice them ;)

Sparrow population here was already increasing.
I think post lockdown, the pollution that  kills the live food that sparrows need in the first few days of life has decreased so we might see even more.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Noticeable increase here in SW Ireland, particularly feeding on fat balls in feeders.  Customers for nijer seed and peanuts almost non-existent.

Sparrows a-plenty here in France but that has been the case for quite a few years now.

No difference that I can see. We always have loads of sparrows. No difference in the other birds either really.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
