It'll be fine. Don't let it run your life - it's just grass
It hasn't been very well laid I'm afraid, which is why there are gaps, but it'll get better, as long as the underlying base has been well enough prepped, and it drains reasonably well.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Few weeks down the line, where I have put down 3 boxes of grass seed (which I know is too much for the size of my lawn, c 30m squared) and 2 different feeds
As you can see from the pics, there are some bits now which are absolutely lush and what I was hoping the whole thing would look like
It's probably inconsistencies in how you applied feed... there's really no need to feed to be honest ... just be patient and leave it alone - apart from watering and mowing obviously.

Apart from the dark patches its looking pretty good to be honest. You have got it established which is the main thing. Just leave it be, no one' else's lawn is looking uniformly dark green and lush after months of drought.

MAN
GRASS
I think it probably is under watered and that's why the gaps have appeared, as I butted them right up against each other
Nighty night!

But why is it only growing in patches??
What should I be doing differently?
Thanks
Ultimately, is 7 weeks with no summer yet still really young for a new lawn and will be developing?
