Dwarf fruit trees

I would like to plant dwarf fruit trees to create a hedge to separate fruit and vegetables on my allotment. Has anyone got any ideas please?

A training method called 'step-over' is often used for this:

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

If you have deeper pockets, you can buy them pre-trained.  On Chris Bowers site, for example, you can select the fruit tree you want and then select 'stepover' from the drop-down selection (although like many sites, ordering is suspended at the moment.)

That does sound great as I would love an 'instant hedge' but probably a bit rich for me but I will take a look anyway. Thank you so much for the advice - you are a mine of information! :-)
