Any one recognise this? (The broad dock-like leaves, but the flower doesn't look much like a dock)

    Horseradish
I agree. Dig up a root, peel and grate to make horseradish sauce ... wear eye goggles!

I thought it reminded me of something. Is it a garden escape or are they native?

I did nibble the leaves actually; delish. But I can't stand horseradish sauce!

The White flowers in amongst it look like Hedge garlic - Allariaria petiolata. They can gown quite tall about a meter but sometimes flower much shirted than that. Leaves are slight garlic/pepper flavour and can be used in salads.

@WillDB do you always eat unknown plants, perhaps wiser to ask before trying 🤢🤢

I do sometimes have a nibble, yes. I had a hunch it might be some sort of brassica, looking at the flower, and it had a familiar look - vaguely remember seeing clumps of it around allotments - so I had a very small bite out of a leaf.

I was out looking for curled dock to try eating. Not very tasty to be honest. I did try some of the hedge garlic too, which was rather nice. But this horseradish plant tasted great, very fresh tasting and not pungent.

The flowers there that look like a brassica are Hedge Mustard as Butterfly says above  ... which is a brassica and very tasty in a salad or sandwich when young

I was referring to the thing which looks almost like a head of broccoli forming from the horseradish plant, bottom right of the first picture.
