Frost protection Dahlias

Dahlias are doing very well outside in large pots but weatherman is predicting slight frost in my area 2 degrees (cambs) for a couple of nights. As they are so heavy, and no greenhouse, What are my options? Should i risk it or move them into my garage? Or are there any other solutions? Any help appreciated

If it were me, I would move into the garage for a few days.
Mine are still in a cold g/h, but I shall be building fleece tents for them today.

  • Thanks for replying so quick. So a dark garage would not harm them for a few days doc? Was worried about carrying them back and forth every day, as they are very heavy.

I think for 2 or 3 days it would be fine.
