    @sterelitza oh so the tomato plant will start to fruit even before it reaches it’s final height?

    Also, for trailing varieties would I need to remove the side shoots too?

    For keeping seeds I wrap the opened inner packet in a bit of clingfilm (pressed flat to keep the air out), back in the outer packet then all the packets go in an old ice-cream tub in the shed. It seems to work fine.

    @JennyJ do you leave the ice cream tub slightly opened?

    No, but the lid has a crack in one corner  ( I keep forgetting to save a new one 🤔).

    I only grow undercover. Sungold is fine. Just pinch out at the height suitable,as others have said  :)
    No food until the first truss of fruit is set. They have plenty of nutrition on the compost they're in as they grow and get potted on. Just keep a consistent watering regime.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    @JennyJ ha I shall gently crack mine too then.. to provide some sort of ventilation

    @Fairygirl got it.

    Thanks for all the help everyone.. I’ll be sure to post some pics when I harvest my very first tomato crop. 😊

    @Fire Aww that’s so kind! I should expect to receive the seeds I ordered within a week or so.. if I don’t then I would love to take up your offer - it will probably take your seeds just as long to arrive as the whole delivery network has been affected by the lockdown..
